Hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park

If only the whole world was as nice as the people you meet on a hiking trail…

I recently went hiking with one of my oldest friends Bob Eisendrath and our wives in Rocky Mountain National Park.

The scenery was out of this world.

The hiking was challenging but exhilarating.

But what struck me the most while enjoying the amazing beauty was the friendliness of EVERYONE we came across on the hike!

Whether it was just a uber-friendly, “Hello!” or a conversation sparked by a piece of clothing someone was wearing (“Hey, Go Cubs!”), all 4 of us couldn’t believe how energizing it was to see smiling faces, exchange happy banter and escape the negativity we so often see in our world for a few hours.

It really was refreshing.

If only the whole world was as nice as people you meet on a hiking trail…
