Most of the time, you just need to show appreciation commensurate with the contribution. There are LOTS of products that can do that! Having some covetable lifestyle merch on hand (think high-end drinkware, retail-inspired apparel, and tech accessories) makes it easy to say thank you.
It’s not a one-way street
Being recognized by management is important, but so is being recognized by your peers. Creating an environment where team members are encouraged to publicly hype each other up is great for morale!
Consider letting your team nominate each other for awards, award each other points that can be redeemed for swag, or simply give each team member an allowance that they can spend in the “prize closet” to award to co-workers.
A modern trend is to offer the chance to choose a gift or make a donation instead.
Shared success
For those big successes, bring everyone together for a video call. Ship out bottles of custom-label champagne and engraved flutes, and propose a toast over zoom!
Create a high-end (possibly name-brand) jacket with a message printed inside, on the lining so that only the wearer knows it’s there. The only external branding…a subtle, custom zipper pull in the shape of your logo icon. They’ll feel like a member of a secret club every time they wear it!
