Bad Product Launch?

Hey, Marketers: Is there such a thing as a bad product launch?
 
Well, some would argue that if people are talking about your product then it’s not a bad idea.
 
That was the case when in July, the French has introduced mustard-flavored Skittles.
 
And then one day, while shopping at Five Below, I found two items that rival those Skittles in nauseatingness.

Does the gross, “everyone is talking about it” nature of a product launch make it a success?
