Merch Trends from the 2023 Vegas Expo
Earlier this month the Printable team made our yearly trek out west to seek the newest promotional products for our clients.
We noticed some overarching themes across the tradeshow floor:

Products for the outdoors, adventure travel, and inspired by nature were everywhere. One of our regular suppliers seemed to have morphed into a camping outfitter…complete with a faux campfire!
The Future is Digital
The meshing of physical and digital worlds is our new reality; smart tech supports everyday life for over 50% of US households. Supporting your audience’s tech with your branded accessories is a smart move.
Care Culture
Almost 50% of Americans have started to prioritize their health more than they did two years ago. With this increased focus on mental and physical health, products that support wellness will be especially meaningful.
This trend started in late 2021 and continued through all of 2022. Looks like it is here to stay in 2023!
There are few other points to make that extend across all other trends and product categories:
Environmental and Social Responsibility is Not a Trend
It’s really become the standard. The largest supplier in our industry is on the path to becoming a bcorp, which is no small feat. And many other companies already have, or are on the way.
Most of the new products are ethically sourced and made with recycled or renewable resources - good for us and good for the planet.
Big Brands are Embracing Promo
Tons of new consumer brands are joining the custom-merch space, allowing co-branding with your logo. You’ll see these across all themes and product categories.
Some notable ones are Mophie, Rite in the Rain, Baronfig, Terra Thread, and Nimble.
