Who else is a fan of RUSH?
Growing up I was a huge fan of the Canadian-progressive-rock trio, Rush
Oh, the guitars, the synthesizers, the lyrics, the drums (RIP, Neal Peart)!
So, you could imagine my excitement when I visited the Pinball Hall of Fame in Las Vegas and saw that a new Rush pinball machine had just been added to their collection!
The Rush pinball machine had a video display with concert footage and snippets of the Rush catalog played at every thwack, pop, and ding.
Ah, brought me back to the good ole days; pinball-playing at Peacock Palace, Rush playing on my Walkman.
Seems like nostalgia is everywhere these days…
In fact, we recently offered our clients a chance to order a “Retro Favorites” merch sample box filled with old-school classic samples for their next branded merch program.
The response was amazing.
Some armchair psychologists might say nostalgia is hot now because we humans are feeling a lot of uncertainty these days. When you feel uncertain, you go to the past – where things felt more comfortable – and certain.
