Savory charcuterie food gifts? Custom branded cutting boards? Really?

I've been helping clients tell their brand stories and build emotional brand connections for 25 years now. But in all those years, I've never seen the popularity of savory food gifts accented with custom-etched cutting boards as high as it is right now.

For the longest time, food gifts in the promo industry were sweet-tooth focused (dominated by chocolates, candies, and other sweet treats, yum!)

But for some reason, savory food gifts (including meats, cheeses, and nuts) have been all the rage lately! Our suppliers like have doubled down on their offerings.

Charcuterie boards are even so popular that one of our partners, Cheers in a Box, is offering a unique virtual event centered around grazing board styling!

The reason for this spurt in popularity? I’m thinking that maybe we are yearning for more comfort foods during this pandemic-era?

Or that entertaining at home is happening more than ever before?
